FAQs

WHAT DO YOU DO?

All of our sections provide fun, adventure and skills for life. Giving young people the opportunity to enjoy new adventures, experience outdoors and take part in a range of creative, community and international activities, interact with others, make new friends, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

WHEN DO WE MEET?

All our sections meet once a week during school terms dates at our headquarters in Centra Road, Morden. We also run and take part in activities and camps at various locations both during school terms and holidays but we will always let you know when these occasions are taking place.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

All our sections ask for £30 per child each school term to cover the costs of central membership fees, weekly meetings and activity badges. We make sure that trips and activities costs as little as possible, and we always give parents as much warning as possible of any additional costs.

WHAT IS THE UNIFORM?

Each section has their own unform, we ask parents to buy the unform top and that members wear smart / sensible trousers and shoes. We provide members with their scarves and badges once they have been invested. A link the local scout shop is below.

WHAT TRAINING DO LEADERS HAVE TO DO?

All adults that have an association with the group must complete at least a DBS check with most completing first aid, safeguarding and safety training as well. All section leaders need to complete a comprehensive and award winning training programme that ensures they are able to run safe, fun and educational meetings for young people.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
